Welcome to Amoud University new website .Amoud University is the first institution of higher learning established in the Republic of Somaliland. It is the product of a concerted effort of dedicated men and women who put their personal interest aside for the sake of the welfare of their society .Some of these have the credit of coming up with the idea of establishing the university at a very difficult time when the people of Somaliland were barely recovering from the trauma of the collapse of the Somali state. Others, including agencies and individuals, contributed in kind or cash and are credited with making the implementation of the idea possible.
Credit also goes to those who are bearing the brunt of the daily chores of the university and managing it under difficult circumstances .These include the Board of Trustees, the Policy Council, the Senate, members of the faculties and the supporting staff of the university without whose patience, dedication and sacrifice, the university wouldn’t have survived. |
